My interest in diet and nutrition has deep roots and had taken me on various journeys throughout my life. It began when my mother was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis when I was 12 years old. Feeling helpless watching her suffer, I became very interested in the concept of bodies healing themselves with the powerful and numerous benefits of diet and nutrition.
As I grew older, I encountered the pressures and societal expectations surrounding body weight and appearance. Like many others, these pressures had a detrimental effect on me, leading to an unhealthy preoccupation with diet and exercise.
However, over time, I shifted my perspective and began to value what my body could do rather than solely focusing on its appearance. Running distance races became my passion and once again, the significance of proper nutrition became evident. It was so obvious how it directly influenced my performance and overall well-being. Throughout these experiences, my enthusiasm for nutrition knowledge has only deepened and I continue to explore its multifaceted aspects as it relates to all of our body systems and the core of our well-being.
With my extensive, multifaceted background, I can help you feel more comfortable in your clothes again, improve your emotional relationship with food, assess food sensitivities, and create a targeted treatment plan that will aid in reducing underlying inflammation, provide specific treatment to promote better digestion and enhance your sports performance with a detailed and customized meal plan.
I live in Cranford, NJ with my very patient husband, 3 energetic boys, and two lovable but poorly-behaved French bulldogs!
Education and Training
Beth Lanzisera earned her Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutrition from Montclair State University and completed her dietetic internship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
Before launching her private practice, Beth gained valuable experience working in hospital and corporate wellness settings. She's passionate about crafting personalized nutrition plans that are both effective and easy to follow.
